All About Me!

My name is Aretha Tillett and I have been a member of the CCUSD-OCD family since Jan. 2002. I started my career as a substitute teacher in the infant-toddler program. I now hold the position as a certificated preschool teacher in the collaborative preschool classroom and after-care teacher for the 2nd and 3rd graders in the Farragut KIK program. I earned my A.A. degree in Child Development Education from West Los Angeles College. I recently completed my B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College and is currently working on completing my M.A. degree in the field of Early Education. In addition, I possess a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit from the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I am a member of NAEYC with affiliations for Southern California AEYC. I am also certified in Pediatrics and Adult First Aid and CPR.

When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, pampering myself and cooking.

I became an early education teacher because…I love what I do and can't see myself doing anything else. I love working with children and learning and growing with them.

"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children."
